Coffee & Jesus

NOTE: If you lick the icing off a cupcake , it becomes a muffin! You're Welcome.

No better way to start your day than with coffee and Jesus. Now, myself, I am a hot tea drinker, however, I have it like coffee with Cream & Splenda. The key is to enter your day slowly. Don’t hit snooze 2 times and then run around crazy. But do get up 20 minutes earlier so you can enter your day slowly and be calm. And have just a few minutes with God before the daily rollercoaster hits the tracks. You will feel better, more composed and more patient if you do this! And you gain strength from the word of God!

What's BREWING in That Beautiful Mind of Yours?

Get it down on paper two ways. Find a gorgeous journal that you’ll love to use. And capture your thoughts. Always date your pages… critical for looking back at what happened. I kept a Cancer Journal since July of last year. It really helps solidify milestones and when certain things happened. This can be very useful. The 2nd way is to create a Dream Scrapbook or vision board. Use a journal to write down your bucket list. Plan fun stuff for your future. Take a break at work and go outside and write in your journal or plan. I say go outside because the fresh air gives you perspective and a free mind.

SPILL THE BEANS

If your day hasn’t gotten off to a good start… you need a 10 minute power phone call to your mom or a trusted friend. Call them on your coffee break. It clears your mind, releases pressure, helps you calm down and not be angry. Doing this also releases endorphins which make you feel better as well. Plus you might get some options or different perspectives to help you move forward. Just talk it out a few minutes and release it for the day.

There's A LATTE to be Grateful For

When you start your day with Coffee and Jesus, Gratitude should be part of your day. Even before you get out of bed. Lie there still snuggled up and in your mind tell God 5 things you are grateful for. Gratitude is also a form of worship. "Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” ~ Psalm 106:1

PERK Up & Show Up for Your Day

I promise you, if you use this 20 minute morning routine, it will make a difference in how your day rolls. Starting with prayer, journaling, and gratitude puts your head right. Ask God to show you opportunities to reach out and help others. Be a positive force in your circle of friends and family. You will feel a better focus on the bigger picture and be able to bring joy to someone else’s day.

"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.." ~ Colosians 2:6-7
