God knows Your Name

An intimate relationship with God is the most critical thing you will ever experience. You see, He already knows every intimate detail of your life. He knows your name. He calls you His Beloved! Luke 12:17 states that even the number of hairs on our heads is known by God. He longs to be close to us and commune with us. But sometimes things get in the way.

Stress & Busyness

We are still riding the storm out with troubles in our world. We are on the run, under the gun, and having no fun! Whatever you do in the extreme busyness of your life, there’s two things that will make your life more rewarding. Prayer and the Bible. Those two activities are the core strength of your relationship with God. Prayer need not be formal…pray on the way. Pray on the way to wherever you are going. Pray on the way when you are cooking. Pray on the way before you figure your bills. Just talk to God throughout your day. Two words: Audio Bible. During a bath, in your car, or while you walk. Find a small devotional you can put in your purse when you find yourself waiting. Have scriptures come to your phone daily. Making efforts in these 2 areas will change your life! But what else gets in the way?

Guilt & Sin

Do you know there are a lot of big sins out there. The interesting thing is the enemy isn’t usually going to tempt you with big sins. Like robbing a bank or murder. But he knows exactly how to distract us. What sins are pleasurable or what he can do to give you a bad attitude. The enemy can turn your thoughts into a complaining spirit. You've heard me say on more than one occasion that God cannot bless a complaining spirit. A complaining spirit worries, causes discord, has a lack of faith and is prideful! The enemy wants your demise and misery in your life. So, what’s the answer? Psalm 37:5-6 tells us. “Commit your way to the Lord and He will do this; He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause as the noon day sun.” It is God who forgives us and helps us to be more like Jesus.

God Wants to Show You Favor

It is God’s greatest desire to bless you and prosper you in many different ways. God knows you! YOU! He has plans to bless you in your career, your family, your emotions and the future! Don’t be so hard on yourself. We can’t do things in our own strength, however, all we have to do is ask God to help us and He is right there waiting to love on us and lift us up. I love Proverbs 3:6! That scripture tells us, “In everything you do, put God first and He will crown your efforts with success.” Wouldn't you look great wearing a crown!? Ha! Keeping your mind on God and not letting negative thoughts permeate your being will keep you on the right track. As Isaiah 26:3 tells us, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you.”

"Lean not to your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path."

~ Proverbs 3:5
